Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong called on Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed for felicitated on Eid-ul Adha

 Islamabad; The Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan H.E.Mr. Nong Rong called on Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed in Islamabad today [Wednesday] and felicitated him on the occasion of Eid-ul Adha. The Chinese Ambassador also expressed his best wishes for the people of Pakistan on Eid-ul-Adha.The Interior Minister offered his condolence on the loss of precious lives of Chinese nationals in Dasu bus tragedy. Both sides expressed commitment that no power can create hurdle in Pak-China bilateral relations. Interior Minister and Chinese Ambassador reiterate in the meeting that no force can be an obstacle in Pakistan-China relations. The Chinese Ambassador appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of interior in cracking down on conspiracies against Pak-China relations and expressed Satisfaction over ongoing investigation into Dasu hydropower bus accident. In the Dasu incident at least nine Chinese workers were killed. On July 14, a bus carrying workers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Upper Kohistan plunged into a ravine “after a mechanical failure resulting in leakage of gas that caused a blast”, a statement from the Foreign Office had said. According to the statement, Chinese workers and accompanying Pakistani staff “were proceeding to their workplace for an ongoing project”. The accident resulted in the death of 12 people, including nine Chinese nationals.
