Rawalpindi- Alumni Association with the collaboration of E-11 Campus Islamabad hosted the three days long Model United Nations Conference at P.C. Rawalpindi. More than 500 students participated in the model united nation activities organized by Alumni Association of the City School TCS. The colorful event was designed to build bridges between Alumni Association of the City School TCS and the students of today. The delegation from various schools debated on a range of topic including the right and responsibilities of host nation, Kashmir-developing the sixth province of Pakistan and dealing with guerilla warfare against terrorists. The city school T-11 campus hosted the delegation and the global village opening ceremony was attended a large number of students, teachers and their parents at Pearl Continental Hotel Rawalpindi. Many notable diplomats, media personalities, scholars, politicians observed the proceeding and commended the students on their knowledge of global issues. The founder of the TCS Almuni association, Ms.Itrat Rubab Haider welcomed the guests. Addressing the participants and guests Ms.Itrat Rubab Haider stated that’ ’these model united nation activities will lead to the grand alumni diplomatic conference 2017’’.She said that the conference will be an opportunity to recognize, reward and celebrate the impact our alumni, from across Pakistan, having in the community. We will be hosting leaders in education, senior representatives in business, local and international school heads, the public sectors and community organizations to showcase TCS examples of excellence, share best practices and net work.’’ The highlight of the events was the global village. Students represented their delegated countries USA OF E-11 CITY SCHOOL>,China,Pakistan,India,IsraelM.K.ACHAKZAI OF DHA CAMPUS>,Germany,United-Kingdom,Netherland,Spain,Italy,Greece,Iran,France,North Korea with flair through costumes, performances, dresses songs and styles. the events was a myriad of colors and activities as students from TCS and other high school dressed in the customary attire of their countries and performed with great zeal. The participants and guests enjoyed a live musical performance at this occasion .The principal of the City School E-11campus,Ms.Mehwash Ibrar while addressing the participants and guests stated that ‘’a model UN motivates students to learn .it’s fun to pretend being a world leader solving the world’s most important problems in 48 hours or less. Our model UN topic was designed to activate students ‘imagination and creativity-activities that students are naturally inclined to do.’ ’A futsal completion and musical evening were also the part of the mega events. For this purpose Alumni Diplomatic Conference event held follow the famous Model United Nations format, culminating in a Diplomatic Moot and dinner. The flagship Moot, adjudicated by multiple diplomats held at the Ramada Hotel Islamabad. The Alumni Diplomatic Conference was a colorful Global Village at the Pearl Continental Hotel Rawalpindi.
