
.Asghar Ali Mubarak is one of the pioneer in news agency sports journalism in Pakistan,He is the trend steer in modern sports journalism started his career as sports journalist with Pakistan first ever Urdu news agency in late 1988 . He was the pioneer in Urdu sports journalism for news agencies and started his carrier in 1988 for PPA. He worked as pioneer reporter with the NNI ,ON LINE ,ANN,KPI,daily Khabrain Islamabad, daily Assas, daily Sahafat, daily imroz and the daily Mail and many other prestigious newspapers. Currently he is associated with the Daily Jang Rawalpindi as a sub-editor and reporter. He is working as OB reporter for Radio Pakistan world service, Radio FM 101, Islamabad. He is Permanent Member of National Press Club, Rawalpindi and Islamabad press club, Rawalpindi, Islamabad union of journalist. He is the president of federal sports journalist association (FSJA). He is the founder president of diplomatic correspondent forum of Pakistan. (DCFP), Founder president of south Asian Sports Journalists (SASJA), Ex-vice President of Rawalpindi Islamabad Sports Journalist Association (RISJA) life member of Pakistan National Heart Association (PNHA), member of children Hospital Society, Senior member of consumer Rights Protection Committee, President of Pakistan Natural Body Building Association, Volunteer Civil Defense and Volunteer Rescue 1122, member of Pakistan Youth Hostels Association, writer of book “Uks-e-Khushboo” published by PPa publication in 1996 while other books on the October 8, 2005 earthquake disaster , titled by “ Qayamat se pehlay Qiamat” (Urdu) and 8 oct, disaster. Mr. Asghar was declared the best OB reporter by Radio Pakistan world service for earthquake coverage in which he reported on impression of affected people and renowned personalities of the areas, which was very effective for Radio reporter consisting of eye witness situation reports. Mr. Asghar Ali Mubarik was involved in the volunteer work as chief volunteer at the children’s hospital, Pakistan Institute of medical sciences, Islamabad, during the earthquake disaster of oct, 2005. His services were highly appreciated by medical staff and journalist community. He was the member of the Rescue team who is visited the effected village Buttle in NWFP the very next day of disaster under the umbrella of Azeem Maa Foundation and started rescue work along with other family member and volunteers. After that he join the Children’s Hospital PIMS and gather volunteer from the twin cities. As chief volunteer, he performed his duties at emergency ward, Isolation ward, Operation Theater and other areas. He also received more than seven thousand children on his arms from rescue teams from the helipad and shifted them immediately to emergency wards along with other Volunteers. As chief volunteer he controlled the main security gate of the children Hospital and maintained the situation stable during and after the shocks. He captured a fake jail superintendent, namely Raza of Adyala Jail, along with fake documents and handed him over to Rescue -15 Islamabad. Two other person Fazal and Allah Rakha of Faisalabad and Chinute, were arrested red handed and were handed over to the police. A young girl Mussarat Bibi who was kidnapped from Bagh area by a taxi driver, Zulfiqar resident of Kashmiri Mohalla, Rawalpindi, was reported by his volunteer. Mr.asghar ali requested chief relief commissioner Major General Farooq Khan at prime Minister Secretriate during a meeting. The girl was recovered immediately. Mussarat BIbi was found with the help of Rawalpindi Police and was shifted to Ms. Nelofer Bakhtiar’s relief camp in Islamabad. As PIMS Islamabad was the hub and main focus of international media, they wanted some negative news regarding the October 8 disaster. But no one can succeed in twisting the truth and role of a nation and others. He was interviewed hundred times by CNN, BBC, FOX News CNBC, Ptv world and many more media team in which he defended the Pakistan side and told them the actual situation regarding the unattended children and other core issues. On trhe 27th of Ramzan ul Mubarik during iftar dinner cum ceremony, Mr. Asghar proposed that a platform for volunteer should be established as a second force for any emergency. Even the Ex-Prime Minister of Pakistan on his visit to the PIMS hospital autographed Mr. Asghar Ali Mubarik shirt with remarks “ Best of Luck” Health Minister Mr. Mohammad Nasir Khan, secretary health Anwar Mahmood and WHO representative Mr. Khalid Belay also Appreciate the service of the chief Volunteeer. As earlier mentioned, Mr. Asghar Ali Mubarik is a Volunteer socialwork and renowned journalist. He was also a part of the rescue team in a blast at Al Qamar Flour Mills, Rawalpindi, on 27th December 2003, in which 10 people died and so many others got injured. He was also the member of Rescue team at sue side Blast near PC RWP in which 37 people died. Beside other activities, Mr. Asghar Ali Mubarik these days is playing a leading role as Major Fawad in a Drama serial “ Dhundlay Khawab” produced by Ms Kausar Samreen , Written by Akhter Jaffery and directed by Syed Qamar Hassan , which is being aired on world service. The Drama is based on the October 8 earthquake and the role of Pakistan Army and the whole nation in the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the people of the affected areas. In recognition on his unique service in the field of volunteer activities during the October 8 earthquake disaster and other incidents, the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalist (PFUJ), Rawalpindi Islamabad Press Club, The Daily Mail , Islamabad, and Rawalpindi Law college strongly recommend and nominate Mr. Asghar Ali Mubarik for the national Award of Tamagha-e-Esar.
