The third  SAFF Women Championship will start  from today at  Jinnah Stadium Islamabad. This is the third edition of the tournament since the first one in 2010. The competition is contested by the eight SAFF members. India is the defending champion. The tournament is hosted in Pakistan from 11 to 20 November 2014. It is mention here that SAFF Women’s Championship is an association football tournament for women’s national teams organized by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). On 10 September 2013, SAFF Executive committee decided that 3rd SAFF Women’s championship will be played in Pakistan. Jinnah Sports Stadium in Islamabad will host all matches. It has the capacity of 48,000 people .All participant  teams including Afghanistan, Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives, Sri lanka have arrived. Bangladesh are reached on other day while the defending champion Indian team is expected today. The Minister IPC Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada will be the Chief Guest at inaugural Ceremony. The Minister IPC Mian Riaz Hussain visited the Jinnah Stadium. Islamabad and feel satisfaction over the arrangement, he also met with the players and inquired about their training and preparation. Pakistani team captain Hajra Khan hoped that Pakistani team will perform well, ‘’our moral is high an coordinator d ready for win ,said  Pakistani team captain. The manager  Pakistan Football Federation Shahid Khokhar  told media men that all  eight  teams   participating in this mega event. The SARAC countries dignities are also invited at opening ceremony today at Jinnah Stadium Islamabad, all arrangements are completed in this regards he added.
