Residents of Rawalpindi have demanded that the relevant authorities pay attention to the serious traffic problems faced by the citizens during cricket matches in the twin cities.
In a letter written to the media, a Rawalpindi resident Ms. Anum Eman has demanded that the administration take immediate steps to ensure smooth traffic flow and provide alternative routes during such matches.
Due to lack of proper traffic management during cricket matches, daily life becomes very difficult for people living in the surrounding areas.
Remember that due to security reasons, the metro bus service is inactive while the stations remain closed, as per the traffic plan, specific roads are closed, Murree Road from Faizabad to Double Road remains closed during match hours and vehicles are diverted to Srinagar Highway.
It should be remembered that due to severe traffic jams, ambulances and public transport also faced severe difficulties due to closed roads,
Metro bus service remained suspended during Test matches and T20 matches, the public faced problems and obstacles not only during the matches but also during the practice sessions of the arrival and departure of the teams before the matches. Women, students, patients, elderly citizens, women working in offices, and female students faced problems and obstacles.
Rawalpindi residents have been attracting media attention during cricket matches in the past as well. Severe traffic jams for hours, loud noise, and illegal parking cause great inconvenience to the residents.
Traffic problems become a major challenge during cricket matches in the twin cities, especially when matches are held at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, located in a congested area of the cities.
The citizens of Rawalpindi and Islamabad face problems due to the large number of fans arriving during matches, improper planning of traffic management, and the location of cricket stadiums in densely populated areas.
The citizens have suggested that to improve traffic management, shuttle service should be arranged, public transport should be promoted, the number of traffic police should be increased, the traffic system should be made more efficient, parking facilities should be increased around cricket stadiums, and traffic jams should be reduced by using alternative routes. By solving and implementing the problems, traffic and other problems can be reduced to a great extent.
The problems of traffic jams can be solved through the construction and expansion of roads, improvement of public transport, and proper parking arrangements.
The residents of Rawalpindi demanded that the relevant authorities take effective steps to solve traffic problems.

کرکٹ میچوں کے دوران ٹریفک کا مناسب انتظام نہ ہونے کی وجہ سے آس پاس کے علاقوں میں رہنے والے لوگوں کے لیے روزمرہ کی زندگی بہت مشکل ہو جاتی ہے۔
یاد رکھیں کہ سیکیورٹی وجوہات کی بنا پر میٹرو بس سروس غیر فعال جبکہ اسٹیشنز بند رہتے ہیں, ٹریفک پلان کے تحت مخصوص سڑکوں کو بند کیا جاتا ہے مری روڈ فیض آباد سے ڈبل روڈ تک میچ کے اوقات میں بند رہتی ہے اور گاڑیوں کو سری نگر ہائی وے کی طرف موڑ دیا جاتا ہے۔
یاد رہے کہ شدید ٹریفک جام ,بند سڑکوں کی وجہ سے ایمبولینس اور پبلک ٹرانسپورٹ کو بھی شدید مشکلات کا سامنا رہا,
میٹرو بس سروس ٹیسٹ میچ اور ٹی 20 میچز کے دوران معطل رہیں،عوام کو میچوں میں ہی نہیں بلکہ میچوں سے قبل ٹیموں کی آمد اور روانگی کے پریکٹس سیشن میں بھی خواتین ,طلباء، مریض، بوڑھے بزرگ شہریوں، دفاتر میں کام کرنے والی خواتین، طالبات کومشکلات اور رکاوٹوں کا سامنا کرنا پڑا ۔
راولپنڈی کے مکین پہلے بھی کرکٹ میچوں کے دوران میڈیا کی توجہ مبذول کرواتے رہے ہیں گھنٹوں شدید ٹریفک جام، اونچی آواز , غیر قانونی پارکنگ رہائشیوں کے لیے بڑی تکلیف کا باعث بنتی ہے۔
جڑواں شہر میں کرکٹ میچوں کے دوران ٹریفک کے مسائل ایک بڑا چیلنج بن جاتے ہیں، خاص کر جب شہروں کے گنجان علاقے میں واقع راولپنڈی کرکٹ اسٹیڈیم میں میچز منعقد ہوتے ہیں۔
راولپنڈی اور اسلام آباد کے شہریوں کو میچز کے دوران بڑی تعداد میں فینز کی آمد,ٹریفک مینجمنٹ کی نا مناسب پلاننگ ,کرکٹ اسٹیڈیم کا گنجان آبادی والے علاقوں میں ہونے سے مسائل کا سامنا کرنا پڑتا ہے،
شہریوں نے تجاویز دی ہیں کہ ٹریفک مینجمنٹ کو بہتر بنانے کے لیےشٹل سروس کا انتظام , پبلک ٹرانسپورٹ کو فروغ, ٹریفک پولیس کی تعداد بڑھایا , ٹریفک نظام کو مزید موثر ,کرکٹ اسٹیڈیم کے آس پاس پارکنگ کی سہولت کو بڑھایا , متبادل راستوں کے استعمال سےٹریفک جام کو کم کیا جا ئے مسائل کو حل کرنے اور ان پر عمل درآمد کرکے ٹریفک اور دیگر مسائل کو کافی حد تک کم کیا جا سکتا ہے
سڑکوں کی تعمیر اور توسیع، پبلک ٹرانسپورٹ کی بہتری، اور پارکنگ کے مناسب انتظامات کے ذریعے ٹریفک جام کے مسائل کو حل کیا جا سکتا ہے
