PRESIDENT, PM CALL FOR CONCERTED EFFORTS TO COUNTER NEGATIVE PROPAGANDA AGAINST ISLAM
Imam-e-Kaaba Sheikh Saleh Bin Muhammad Ibrahim calls on Mamnoon Hussain and Nawaz Sharif.

Islamabad-The Imam-e-Kaaba Sheikh Saleh Bin Muhammad Bin Ibrahim has urged people to get united under the banner of Islam and follow teachings of the Holy Quran and Sunnah to avoid sectarian issues.
He was delivering sermon after Maghreb prayer to a gathering of people today Faisal Masque Islamabad. The Imam Ka’aba said there is no place for chaos and violence in Islam and our religion gives the message of peace, love, brotherhood and harmony.He said the elements that instigated violence and disharmony in the name of Islam are in fact those who created anarchy and chaos among people for their ulterior motives. He made it clear that Islam has nothing to do with violence and extremism. Imam-e-Kaaba offered special prayers for unity of Muslim Ummah, supremacy of Islam, progress, peace and development of Pakistan.Earlier the President Pakistan Mamnoon Husain called for making concerted efforts to remove misperception about Islam and said that Muslim Ummah should stand united in defeating terrorism and extremist mindset.He said Pakistan is committed to protect the sanctity of the Two Holy Mosques and any aggression against Saudi Arabia will be considered an aggression against Pakistan. President said the relations between the two brotherly countries are embedded in strong bonds of friendship, religion, fraternity and cultural ties.
He noted that Saudi Arabia has always supported Pakistan on all important issues at the regional and international forums including Kashmir dispute. The President said the recommendations should be formulated to harmonize the educational curriculum of religious educational institutions with modern requirements so that the Muslim Ummah could excel in the comity of nations.
Speaking on the occasion, Imam-e-Ka’aba Al-Sheikh Saleh Mohammad Bin Talib said Islam rejects all forms of violence and extremism. He called for forging unity in the ranks to collectively face all the challenges to Muslim Ummah. Imam-e-Kaabah Sheikh Saleh Bin Muhammad Bin Talib also called on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad.
On this occasion, Prime Minister said that although Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are geographically located apart but mutual Islamic and cultural values have kept our hearts together.
He emphasized that Islam is the message of love, peace, patience, forgiveness and respect for humanity and it is the need of time to spread this message all over the world.
The Prime Minister said that religious leaders and scholars should unanimously counter negative propaganda being wrongly portrayed against Islam.
Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf also held a meeting with Imam Kaba Sheikh Saleh Bin Muhammad Bin Ibrahim in Islamabad on Saturday.
Speaking on this occasion, the Minister said that Pakistan is taking important measures for creating harmony among various religions and sects.
