نیوزی لینڈ کے خلاف سیریز کے پانچویں اور آخری ون ڈے میں شکست کے بعد پاکستان ٹیم آئی سی سی ون ڈے رینکنگ میں دو دن نمبر ون پوزیشن پر رہنے کے بعد تیسری پوزیشن پر آگئی۔
پاکستان 5 میچز کی سیریز کے چوتھے میچ میں نیوزی لینڈ کو شکست دے کر آئی سی سی ون ڈے رینکنگ میں پہلی بار نمبر ون پوزیشن پر براجمان ہوا تھا۔
تاہم اپنی پہلی پوزیشن کو برقرار رکھنے کے لیے پاکستان کو اتوار کو ہونے والاسیریز کا آخری میچ لازمی جیتنا تھا۔
نیوزی لینڈ کے ہاتھوں ون ڈے سیریز کے آخری میچ میں 47 رنز سے شکست کے بعد پاکستان آئی سی سی رینکنگ میں پہلی سے تیسری پوزیشن پر آگیا ہے۔
پاکستان نے 5 مئی کو پہلی پوزیشن حاصل کی تھی تاہم پاکستان بدقسمتی سے صرف 2 دن نمبر رہ سکا، تازہ آئی سی سی رینکنگ میں آسٹریلیا کا پہلا، بھارت کا دوسرا اور پاکستان کا تیسرا نمبر ہے۔
یاد رہے کہ نیوزی لینڈ نے پاکستان کو 5 میچز کی سیریز کے آخری ون ڈے میں47 رنز سے شکست دے دی، البتہ گرین شرٹس نے سیریز 1-4 سے اپنے نام کرلی۔ سیریز کے آخری میچ میں نیوزی لینڈ کے 300 رنز کے ہدف کے تعاقب میں پاکستان کی ٹیم 252 رنز بناسکی، افتخار احمد 94 اور سلمان علی آغان 57 رنز بناکر نمایاں رہے۔
آخری ون ڈے میں شکست کے ساتھ ہی پاکستان نمبر ون پوزیشن سے ہاتھ دھو بیٹھی اور تیسری پوزیشن پر آگئی۔ آخری ون ڈے میچ میں نیوزی لینڈ کے کپتان ٹام لیتھم نے ٹاس جیتا اور بابر اعظم کو بولنگ کی دعوت دی۔
کیویز کی پوری ٹیم 50 ویں اوور میں 299 رنز بناکر آؤٹ ہوگئی، ول ینگ 87 اور کپتان ٹام لیتھم 59 رنز بناکر نمایاں رہے۔
آخری ون ڈے کے لیے پاکستان کی جانب سے شان مسعود، فخر زمان، بابر اعظم، محمد رضوان، افتخار احمد، سلمان علی آغا، شاداب خان، اسامہ میر، شاہین شاہ آفریدی، وسیم جونیئر اور حارث رؤف ٹیم کا حصہ تھے۔
نیوی لینڈ کی ٹیم میں کپتان ٹام لیتھم ، وِل ینگ ، ٹام بلنڈل ، ہینری نکلز ،کول مکونچی، مارک چیپمین ، ایڈم ملنے ، ہینری شپلے ، ایش سوڈھی اور میٹ ہینری شامل تھے۔ سیریز کے آخری ون ڈے میں نیوزی لینڈ نے ٹاس جیت کر بیٹنگ کا آغاز کیا تو 32 کے مجموعی اسکور پر ٹام بلنڈل 15 رنز بناکر محمد وسیم کا شکار بنے۔
ایک وکٹ گرنے کے بعد ول ینگ اور ہینری نکولس کے درمیان 51 رنز کی شراکت داری بنی لیکن پھر نکولس بھی 23 رنز بناکر پویلین لوٹ گئے،اس کے بعد کپتان ٹام لیتھم اور ینگ ٹیم کا اسکور 157 رنر تک لے گئے لیکن پھر ول ینگ 87 رنز بناکر شاداب کی گیند پر کیچ آؤٹ ہوگئے۔
کپتان ٹام لیتھم بھی 59 رنز کی اننگز کھیل کر چلتے بنے، اس کے علاوہ مارک چیپمین نے 43، مک کونکی نے 26 اور رویندرا 28 رنز بنائے۔
نیوزی لینڈ کی پوری ٹیم 49.3 اوورز میں 299 رنز پر آؤٹ ہوگئی۔ پاکستان کی جانب سے شاہین آفریدی نے 3، شاداب اور اسامہ میر نے 2،2 جبکہ حارث رؤف اور محمد وسیم نے ایک ایک وکٹ لی۔
نیوزی لینڈ کے 300 رنز کے ہدف کے تعاقب میں پاکستان کا آغاز اتنا اچھا نہ رہا،30 کے مجموعی اسکور پر شان مسعود اور کپتان بابر اعظم پویلین لوٹ گئے تھے، شان نے 7 اور بابر نے ایک رنز پر ٹیم کا ساتھ چھوڑا۔
اس کے بعد محمد رضوان 9 اور فخر زمان 33 رنز بناکر آؤٹ ہوگئے، 4 وکٹیں گرنے کے بعد آغا سلمان اور افتخار احمد نے شاندار بیٹنگ کی اور دونوں نے نصف سنچری اسکور کرکے پاکستان کو جیت کی امید دلوائی۔
تاہم پھر آغا سلمان 57 رنز بناکر آؤٹ ہوئے اور اس کے بعد ایک طرف سے پاکستان کی وکٹیں گرتی چلی گئیں تو دوسری جانب افتخار احمد نے جارحانہ شاٹس کھیلنا شروع کیے لیکن وہ بھی ٹیم کو کامیابی نہ دلواسکے۔
پاکستان کی پوری ٹیم 47 ویں اوور میں 252 رنز بناکر آؤٹ ہوئی، افتخار احمد72 گیندوں پر 94 رنز بناکر ناٹ آؤٹ رہے۔
نیوزی لینڈ کی جانب سے ہینری شپلے اور راچن رویندرا نے 3،3 وکٹیں حاصل کیں۔
واضح رہے کہ پاکستان کو 5 میچز کی سیریز میں 4 صفر کی فیصلہ کن برتری حاصل تھی۔آخری ون ڈے میں شکست کے بعد پاکستان نے سیریز 1-4 سے جیت لی، پاکستان کے فخر زمان کو پلیئر آف دی سیریز کا ایوارڈ ملا۔
