Source: WORLD JUDO DAY CELEBRATED AT NATIONAL JUDO TRAINING CAMP ON THE OCCASION OF JIGARO KANO’S BIRTHDAY By;Asghar Ali Mubarak Islamabad —-The Founder of Judo, Jigaro Kano was born on 28th October 1860, on this great occasion International Judo Federation Staged 5th World Judo Day with the slogan of Unity. World Judo Day is an opportunity for judo lovers to share experiences and promote the sport in their region with activities such as demonstrations, competitions, inter-club training sessions and taster sessions so in this connection today the trainees of National Judo Training Camp, celebrated world Judo day under the supervision of Pakistan Judo Federation and presence of Foreign Judo Coach, Sajjad Kazemi and National Judo Coach, Mr. Liaqat Ali, with the “UNITY” (Master Jigoro Kano ensured that judo would unite people as a sport, educational tool and martial art) slogan of International Judo Federation, by cutting a cake.In addition, Pakistan Judo Federation has directed to all affiliated units to celebrate the world Judo day with the IJF Slogan “UNITY” in their areas on this great occasion. World Judo day has been celebrated by the affiliated units of Karachi, Gujranwala, WAPDA.
