SHAHBAZ SHARIF T-20 CUP CRICKET TOURNAMENT BEGINS AT SATELLITE TOWN IN RAWALPINDI
The tournament will continue till 7th of the next month.

The Chairman Metro Bus System Muhammad Hanif Abbasi said that international level facilities of cricket and other sports events had been provided to the youngsters of Rawalpindi. Addressing the opening ceremony he said Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has provided 1.8 billion rupees for provision of sports facilities. He said that two new football stadiums would be set up in Rawalpindi besides provision of facilities for other sports events. He announced that state of the art hockey ground will be named of Shahbaz Ahmed senior at viqar ul Nisa College and the ground will be completed up to 30th June 2017. He alleged that Pakistan Tehrik Insaaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan is conspiring against the development and progress of the country and receiving funds from Israel to hamper work on the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).He said that Imran Khan is working on the agenda of imperialist powers which have ganged up against Pakistan to destabilise it. He said that Imran Khan is receiving funds from Jews to spoil peaceful atmosphere of the country.He said that PML-N leadership under wise Chairmanship of Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif has been making all-out efforts to bring change in the lives of masses and to put the country on path of progress and prosperity.Talking at this occasion hockey legend Shahbaz Ahmed senior stated that ‘’ I am very happy to see the standards of sports and sports facilities at Rawalpindi. Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Secretary General Shahbaz Ahmad Senior has said that various hockey events are being arranged for promotion of national game in the country.He said that the PHF has sent a plan to government for approval to conduct Pakistan Hockey League in the country adding that venue and schedule for the tournament would be announced after approval. He thanked Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif for providing sports facilities to the youth. He said that Pakistan Hockey team would visit Australia in February or March, 2017.Earlier the third Shahbaz Sharif T-20 Cup Cricket Tournament started at Government Degree College, Satellite Town in Rawalpindi on other day.Mean while the third Shahbaz Sharif T-20 Cup Cricket Tournament t will continue till 7th of the next month. Twenty one Union Council based Cricket Teams are contesting in the Tournament.The winner team of the tournament will be awarded three hundred thousand rupees while two hundred thousand rupees will be given to the runner up team. The man of the series would get 25,000 while each man of the match would be given 5000 rupees.Speaking on the occasion third Shahbaz Sharif T-20 Cup Cricket Tournament at Government Degree College, Satellite Town Rawalpindi, MNA Malik Abrar Ahmed, MPAs Muhammad Hanif Advocate, Zaib un Nisa Awan, Lubna Rehan, ex-MPs, Ziaullah Shah, Sardar Nasim, Sajjad Khan Rahat Qudusi stated that best sports and recreational facilities are being provided in Rawalpindi. They stated that such local sports activities play important role in promotion of domestic sports activities in the country. Such sports events are manifestation of development of healthy trends in society which help promote sentiments of social harmony and peaceful co existence. They said Hanif Abbasi has done a marvelous job
and fulfilled his responsibility by giving funds to sports.
They congratulated Hanif Abbasi for organized such healthy sport activity in the city.They said said in the past, playgrounds were deserted
in the country due to terrorist activities and Pakistani players had to go to abroad for playing cricket and other games. However, he said now our playgrounds were once again attracting players which were a good omen for the whole country.Earlier, March past was held in which teams marched in front dice. The tournament director Masood Anwar stated that the final of the tournament will be play on 7th January 2017 at jamia school ground Rawalpindi.
