پاکستان کا تاریخی اور کلیدی کردارپاکستان اقوام متحدہ کے امن مشنز کی تاریخ میں سب سے معتبر اور طویل ترین خدمات فراہم کرنے والا ملک ہے۔ 1960 سے لے کر اب تک پاکستان نے دنیا کے 4 خطوں کے 23 سے زائد ممالک میں 48 سے زائد امن مشنز میں حصہ لیا , پاکستان اب تک 2 لاکھ 35 ہزار سے زائد فوجی اور پولیس اہلکار عالمی امن کی خاطر تعینات کر چکا ہے، جن میں 500 سے زائد جرات مند خواتین افسران بھی شامل ہیں۔ فرض کی ادائیگی کے دوران اب تک 181 سے زائد پاکستانی امن پسندوں نے جامِ شہادت نوش کیا ہے۔ امن مشنز کے بنیادی فرائضیہ دستے جنہیں ان کے نیلے ہیلمٹ کی وجہ سے Blue Helmets بھی کہا جاتا ہے درج ذیل فرائض سرانجام دیتے ہیں: مسلح گروہوں کے درمیان جنگ بندی کے معاہدوں پر عمل درآمد کروانا۔ جنگ زدہ علاقوں میں معصوم شہریوں، خواتین اور بچوں کو تحفظ فراہم کرنا اور انسانی امداد پہنچانا۔ تباہ شدہ بنیادی ڈھانچے جیسے سڑکوں، پلوں اور اسپتالوں کی دوبارہ تعمیر کرنا۔ تنازعات کے خاتمے کے بعد پرامن اور شفاف جمہوری انتخابات کے انعقاد میں مدد کرنا۔ 1۔ اقوام متحدہ کے مشنز میں پاکستان کی تاریخی ٹائم لائن ;

Economic foreign policy; The current Pakistani government has changed its traditional “geopolitical” policy to a “geo-economic” policy. Its 5 main pillars are as follows:

Through this council, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry is bringing in billions of dollars in foreign direct investment (FDI) from Gulf countries (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar) in agriculture, information technology (IT), mining and energy sectors.
CPEC Phase 2: Relations with China are now being given a purely economic dimension, not just a defense one.
CPEC Phase 2 focuses on relocating Chinese industries to Pakistan’s Special Economic Zones (SEZs), transferring agricultural technology and green energy.
Access to Central Asia: Pakistan’s foreign policy is now focused on opening land trade routes with Central Asian states (Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan). Pakistan is providing these countries with access to warm waters through the ports of Gwadar and Karachi, in return for which Pakistan is getting cheap LNG and Central Asian markets.IMF and European Union: The economic team of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in constant contact with the European Union countries to maintain Pakistan’s status, thanks to which Pakistani textile products have duty-free access to Europe. Similarly, diplomatic influence is being used to restore economic credibility with global financial institutions.
Manpower Export: The government is entering into agreements with Middle Eastern and European countries under which Pakistani IT experts, engineers and skilled manpower can legally find employment in these countries, so as to increase the country’s foreign exchange reserves. Pakistan has also held the presidency of the UN Economic and Social Council and the Security Council several times, where it raised its voice for the rights of developing countries. Pakistan uses the UN forum to highlight the long-standing dispute over Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan has always maintained that the solution to Kashmir should be in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions and the right of Kashmiris to self-determination. Pakistan played a central role in raising its voice against Islamophobia in the UN and in getting March 15 declared as the “International Day against Islamophobia” every year. In addition, Pakistan remains at the forefront of diplomatic efforts at every UN forum against the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza and Palestine. Pakistan has been the country most affected by severe floods and climate change in recent years. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres himself visited Pakistan and provided historic assistance in raising funds for Pakistan’s reconstruction from the international community.
Future development programs between Pakistan and the UN are being run under the “United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF)”, which is scheduled to run from 2023 to 2027.
