Prime Minister of Pakistan has declared the good example of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) as the guiding light for the new generation
(Asghar Ali Mubarak)
Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has declared the good example of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) as the sole and complete guiding light for the new generation. He has emphasized that it is essential to follow the good example of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) to face the challenges of the modern era and to build the morals and personality of the youth. The Prime Minister has declared the good example of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) as the sole and complete guiding light for the new generation, because it is essential to follow the good example of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) to face the challenges of the modern era and to build the morals and personality of the youth. According to his address, there is no sector or aspect of life for which guidance is not given by the blessed life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), and the events of the holy example are the ultimate source of guidance for improving the morals of the new generation, while the youth should always remember the real spirit and objectives of the Pakistan Movement. Under this perspective, the following practical steps can be taken to mold the personality of the youth in accordance with the universal principles of Islam:
Educational curriculum: At the school and college level, the moral aspects of the Prophet’s (PBUH) life (such as truthfulness, trustworthiness, and tolerance) should be included so that the good deeds and affairs of the Prophet (PBUH) can be highlighted instead of just historical events.
Practical life: Instill in the youth the spirit of fulfilling promises, the importance of halal sustenance, social justice, and helping the weak, which are the basic elements of the good example.
Modern media: Through social media and digital platforms, the youth should be exposed to the bright aspects of the Prophet’s (PBUH) life in a creative and modern way.
Ideological awareness: The new generation should be convinced that the establishment of Pakistan was carried out with a great ideological objective, so that they can play their role in the development of the country in accordance with the spirit of the Pakistan Movement.
We should never forget the spirit of the Pakistan Movement when all Muslims united under the leadership of the Quaid-e-Azam, putting aside their sectarian identity. Allah Almighty gave us the opportunity, so we made a sincere effort to unite the Muslim Ummah. Saudi Arabia and Turkey stand with Pakistan like an iron wall. Scholars should play their role in promoting unity and protecting the people from sedition and self-serving elements. He expressed these views while addressing the National Seerat Conference on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal. The conference was attended by federal ministers, members of parliament, foreign diplomats, scholars, great scholars, and others. The Prime Minister said that this grand conference on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal is our proud national tradition. On this auspicious and blessed day, every year, scholars, researchers, great scholars, and scholars of every sect from every part of the country gather under one roof. This grand gathering is a reminder that we are all one nation under the shadow of the mercy of the last Messenger of Allah, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). His unparalleled and blessed personality is our identity. He (peace be upon him) is our honor and our soul. Being a member of your Ummah is our faith. His mission is a favor from Allah to all humanity. The Prime Minister said that it is a beautiful coincidence that this blessed day has come in the month of August this year. When Pakistan was established, August 14 was the shadow of the blessings of Ramadan. This is an unseen sign that the grace of Allah Almighty and the eye of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) are a mercy on Pakistan. The Prime Minister said that he congratulates the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the scholars from the bottom of his heart for keeping the pure tradition of the Seerat Conference alive. The scholars are the guardians of our moral values. We sit on our knees in their service and learn religion from them. Our respect and reverence are obligatory upon us. The Prime Minister said that I also congratulate the authors of the books that have been declared worthy of the award today. The Prime Minister said that the title chosen for today’s conference is both meaningful and timely: the protection, construction, and character of the new generation. The new generation, in the light of the biography of the Prophet, is the center of our hopes; this is our bright future. The education and training of this generation is our top priority. The Prime Minister said that today we have an important question before us: what kind of Pakistan do we want to see in the future? The answer to this is very simple, the generation we will produce, our future will also be like that, it is our good fortune that in the form of the good example of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), we have the most perfect example of morality, which is unparalleled in the entire history of humanity, Allah Almighty has given us such a Siraj Munir with whose light we can illuminate the hearts and minds of our children. There is no aspect of life that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has not illuminated with his good example. Every incident of the blessed life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is a complete message of guidance for us. In the Treaty of Hudaybiyah, he appears to us as the embodiment of wisdom and insight. He turns difficulty into ease with his wisdom. The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) gives a message to his companions that if we act wisely and with foresight today, then a clear victory awaits us in the coming days. When he is targeted in Taif, he becomes the most perfect example of patience and prays for the guidance of his opponents. This is the glory of prophethood. When he comes to Medina, he establishes brotherhood between the Muhajirun and the Ansar. There is a great lesson in this.If the people of a society help each other in times of sorrow, pain, and distress, difficulties can be transformed into ease. Whether the problems are economic or social, love and brotherhood are the solution. When we create ease for others, Allah Almighty makes our difficulties easy. When there was hardship, he was patient. When Allah Almighty blessed him with wealth, he would distribute it among the needy before the sun set. The Prime Minister said that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also taught the manners of disagreement, taught dialogue, and told the People of the Book: “Come to the things that are common between you and us.” On the occasion of the conquest of Mecca, when you enter the city with a great army, you become the embodiment of humility. Those who were after your life, you declare a general amnesty for them. On the occasion of the Farewell Pilgrimage, as the ruler of a great state, you declare that no Arab has any superiority over a non-Arab, no non-Arab over an Arab, no black over a white, and no white over a black. You declare that the sanctity of the life of a Muslim is the same as that of this city, on this day, and in this place. With all these praiseworthy qualities, we have to tell the new generation that you presented your role to the people as the first proof of prophethood. The Prime Minister said that the blessed life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was a good example; his speech was completely truthful, and his life was full of trust and honesty. When he first called the people of Mecca to Islam, he asked them: “Did you find me truthful or the opposite?” The people of Mecca replied: “You are both truthful and trustworthy. The character of the Holy Prophet was your first miracle, and the Holy Quran was the second.” The Prime Minister said that today we have to build the morals and personality of the new generation in the light of this beautiful example; these are the manners to teach our children. Two years ago, I directed the Ministry of Education to make the moral training of the new generation in the light of the beautiful character of the Holy Prophet the soul of the education system. I am happy that the National Authority for the Mercy of the Worlds and the Seal of the Prophets has prepared a comprehensive outline for this purpose, which has been implemented at the level of the federal capital, while the provincial governments are making progress in this direction, which is welcome. The Prime Minister said that I wish that the new generation of scholars being prepared in religious schools should be distinguished in morals and character, and when they take over the responsibility of the mihrab and pulpit, they should give a message of unity to the nation in the light of the beautiful example. They are the Imam in morals as well as in prayer. Those who pray behind them, those who listen to their sermons, should be aware of their character and profession. In a peaceful life, become an example of hard work and honesty. The Prime Minister said that you are well aware of the destructiveness of sectarianism. Its remedy is easy. Let there be only one identity for us. Let all our love be subordinate to the love of the Holy Prophet. The companions, the great Ahl al-Bayt, the jurists of the Ummah are all our honor and the crown of our heads, because all of them are related to the Prophet of the End Times (PBUH). Our constitution also makes us bound only by the Quran and Sunnah. Sectarianism spreads when we turn to separate centers; we create our own separate identity. When the center is one, its inevitable result will be unity and solidarity. The Prime Minister said that we should never forget the spirit of the Pakistan Movement when all Muslims, leaving behind their sectarian identity, united under the leadership of the Quaid-e-Azam. A miracle like Pakistan is the result of this unity. When the war broke out last year, the entire nation was united in one soul and two bodies. Even during the Gulf War, the entire nation was united in one battle. Khatm-e-Nubuwwat also means unity of the nation. To make this country great and respectable in the world, we have to adopt unity. The Holy Quran has a clear declaration that you are the Seal of the Prophets. We are all the nation of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so we have to turn to this one center only. The Prime Minister said that when Allah Almighty gave us the opportunity, we made a sincere effort to unite the Muslim nation. The Middle East was on the verge of a major crisis. On the one hand, we continuously tried for a ceasefire, and on the other hand, we also worked day and night for unity among Muslims. Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir remained fully engaged throughout the period. Praise be to Allah! Our common efforts have paid off, and a temporary ceasefire has become possible. The enemies of peace tried their best to divide the Muslims of the Middle East and instill hatred in them. We are grateful to Allah Almighty that they could not succeed in this. The best result of these sincere efforts is before us in the form of the Mecca Agreement. The ambassadors of the brotherly countries of Turkey and Saudi Arabia are present here. The Prime Minister said that Turkey and Saudi Arabia have fully supported Pakistan in every difficult time. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the people of Turkey and Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the people of Saudi Arabia stand with Pakistan like an iron wall. The Prime Minister said that today we need this unity within Pakistan as well. For this, scholars have to play their role, protect the people from seditionist and self-serving elements who want to divide them. There is no harm in academic disagreement while living in a civilized circle. Our ancestors also disagreed, but their disagreement enriched our academic tradition. We have to keep their exemplary role in front of us, speak our minds, and give this right to others as well. With this positive attitude, disagreement becomes a blessing, and society progresses in academic and intellectual development.
