Pakistan Army Exposes India’s ‘False Flag’ Operation
(Asghar Ali Mubarak)
The Pakistan Army has exposed India’s ‘false flag operation’ (a staged, deceptive maneuver). Pakistan’s swift, evidence-backed exposure of this propaganda marks a significant strategic success. The Pakistan Army has made it clear that it remains ever-ready to defend the country’s borders and possesses the full capability to deliver a befitting response to any aggression or adventurism. The international community has also been urged to take note of India’s attempts to sabotage regional peace, as such reckless and dangerous tactics could escalate tensions between two nuclear-armed powers to a critical level. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) directorate has laid bare the details of yet another dangerous false flag operation orchestrated by India to malign Pakistan and divert global attention. According to military sources, Indian intelligence agencies were attempting to stage a fabricated drama across the border—a plot that Pakistani security forces thwarted and exposed based on timely, concrete intelligence.
According to senior analyst Asghar Ali Mubarak, whenever India faces internal political, economic, or social crises—or when international pressure mounts regarding its atrocities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir—it habitually resorts to false flag operations. The objective of this recent conspiracy was to construct a fabricated and false narrative against Pakistan before the international community; however, the Pakistan Army’s high level of professional preparedness and vigilance exposed the enemy’s nefarious designs to the world prematurely. Pakistan has long maintained the position before the international community that India employs state-sponsored terrorism as a policy to divert global attention from its internal failures and the ongoing atrocities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Recently, the Director General of the Pakistan Army’s media wing (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has presented irrefutable evidence and intelligence facts to the world regarding the Indian Army and the intelligence agency ‘RAW’ operating and funding terror networks within Pakistan; India is providing financial, ideological, and material support to various terrorist organizations to destabilize Pakistan and impede its economic progress—particularly projects related to CPEC and Balochistan.
Pakistan has consistently presented evidence at the United Nations and other global forums demonstrating that the proscribed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (now officially designated as ‘Fitna-al-Khawarij’) and Baloch separatist organizations receive Indian funding and modern weaponry via Afghan soil and other channels. Recently, security forces have conducted large-scale operations against an Indian proxy group active in Balochistan and other regions—known as “Fitna-al-Hindostan”—which was found to be directly involved in acts of sabotage at the behest of Indian handlers. According to the ISPR, evidence has also been found indicating that Indian handlers provided Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), state-of-the-art weaponry, and drones to terrorists for cross-border attacks. The Pakistan Army and law enforcement agencies have intensified intelligence-based operations to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism:
Security forces launched a major operation against terrorist hideouts—backed by India and Afghanistan—in the districts of Quetta, Ziarat, and Mastung. During this operation, more than 71 Indian- and Afghan-sponsored terrorists were killed, and a large quantity of explosives and weapons was recovered from their possession. Major infiltration attempts were thwarted in North Waziristan (Hassan Khel) and other border areas between July and September, resulting in the deaths of dozens of *Kharijites* (terrorists) linked to Indian networks. Pakistan has taken numerous steps to expose Indian-backed terrorism on the global stage, providing the United Nations (UN), the Security Council, and key global powers with documentary evidence, bank transaction records, intercepted calls, and irrefutable proof of the involvement of Indian military officers. The confessional statement of the serving Indian Navy Commander Kulbhushan Jadhav—arrested in Pakistan—and the recent targeted killings carried out by Indian agents in Canada, the United States, and other Western nations (such as the Nikhil Gupta case) provide clear evidence that India is employing extrajudicial killings and international terrorism as instruments of state policy. India’s objective is to keep Pakistan perpetually mired in the quagmire of terrorism, thereby preventing the country from progressing in line with its true potential. However, Pakistan’s military leadership has made it clear that every hostile external proxy will be uprooted through the ‘Azm-e-Istehkam’ (Resolve for Stability) initiative and a robust, integrated intelligence network. During a press conference, DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry detailed a “false flag” operation orchestrated by the Indian Army in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. According to him, on the night of September 29, an Indian Army corps claimed on social media that a joint search operation had taken place in occupied Kashmir. They reported the killing of a “terrorist.” The Pakistan Army spokesperson presented Muhammad Asif—a former Havaldar of the Special Services Group (SSG) whom India had claimed was “martyred”—before the media. India had labeled Asif a Lashkar-e-Taiba commander and alleged he was the terrorist killed in occupied Kashmir; however, Asif appeared before the media to confirm he was alive and present in Pakistan. The DG ISPR stated that if India wishes to stage a stunt, it is welcome to try, as Pakistan is fully prepared for any hostile move. He added that if India intends to take action, it should go ahead, but Pakistan’s response would be severe. He remarked that it is unfortunate that Pakistan is contending with such a despicable enemy. Pakistan Army spokesperson Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry exposed yet another false flag operation conducted by India in occupied Kashmir. India had claimed to have killed former SSG personnel Muhammad Asif during the operation, identifying him as a Lashkar-e-Taiba commander; the DG ISPR debunked this lie by presenting Asif before the media. On Thursday, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry detailed a “false flag” operation by the Indian Army in occupied Jammu and Kashmir during a press conference. The DG ISPR stated that on the night of September 29, an Indian Army corps tweeted about a joint search operation in occupied Kashmir and claimed to have killed an individual during the process. Approximately seven and a half hours later, on September 30, the Indian military issued another update claiming that the body of a terrorist affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba had been recovered. The Indian Army identified the deceased as Muhammad Asif, alias Hashim Musa, and claimed he was from Pakistan. An Indian news agency also released details about the alleged terrorist—including a service number—claiming that Muhammad Asif (alias Hashim Musa) was a Havaldar in the Special Services Group (SSG). Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry noted that while the Indian government subsequently released its own details regarding the incident, there were contradictions between the statements issued by the Army and the government. The Indian government labeled Muhammad Asif a Lashkar-e-Taiba commander, claiming he had been active in occupied Kashmir for four years and involved in numerous operations. He added that India portrayed Muhammad Asif (alias Hashim Musa) as a major terrorist, a claim that was widely amplified by the Indian media. He remarked that such reports evoke memories of Indian claims regarding the Uri and Pahalgam incidents. The DG ISPR stated that the Indian Army displayed the identity card of Muhammad Asif—alias Hashim Musa—and presented the incident as a successful operation. According to him, ‘Operation Sherowali’ was launched in May, yet the Indian Army is claiming success nearly six months later. He remarked sarcastically that one should congratulate and applaud the Indian Army for this so-called success, noting that the Indian government had also labeled Muhammad Asif a soldier and exaggerated his alleged exploits. The Pakistan Army spokesperson stated that following the claims made by the Indian Army and media, Pakistan located Muhammad Asif and presented him before the media. Appearing before the media, Muhammad Asif stated that he is a resident of the Pindi Gheb area in Attock district and lives in Rawalpindi with his family.According to Muhammad Asif, friends informed him that news was circulating on social media claiming he had been martyred by the Indian Army in Kashmir. He pointed out to his friends that he was alive and present before them, so the claim of his martyrdom was impossible. He further stated that following this news, he began receiving phone calls from Indian numbers. He was astonished to learn that Indian media was using his personal details to declare him martyred while he was actually at home. Muhammad Asif stated that he had apprised his unit and the ISPR of all the details to ensure the record was clear. He recounted that he enlisted in the Pakistan Army in 2000, joined the Special Services Group (SSG) in 2005, and retired in 2023 after 18 years of service. Following his retirement, he worked for a private security company for three years and is currently residing in his own home. He added that the Indian Army had claimed to have killed him by portraying him as a terrorist, even though he is alive and well. He condemned the Indian claim, describing it as false and heinous. Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated that India has expanded its terrorism to other countries; it not only engages in terrorism but also takes pride in it. According to him, India funds various organizations, including the Mukti Bahini, the BLA, and the TTP. The DG ISPR further noted that India targets Muslims within its own country with terrorism, while Sikh and Christian communities also face terror. He added that the collusion between India and the Afghan Taliban regime is also evident to everyone. The Pakistan Army spokesperson stated that India has transformed occupied Kashmir into a military garrison, with approximately one million Indian troops deployed there. Kashmiris are required to obtain permission even to travel from one village to another. He alleged that the Indian army blows up Kashmiri homes and that the oppression and persecution of the Kashmiri people have reached extreme levels. He further remarked that India is itself perpetrating atrocities yet seeks to shift the blame onto others. He added that India cannot pin the blame for its own oppression on Muhammad Asif from Pindi Gheb; someone should advise India to step outside the confines of Pakistan’s state jurisdiction. He noted that Pakistan had offered to investigate the Pahalgam incident, while the world has clearly recognized India’s duplicity. Criticizing the Indian media, the DG ISPR pointed out that during the war, Indian media outlets had even claimed to have captured Karachi. During the press conference, journalists from various TV channels asked questions regarding the political situation, the stance of certain political leaders in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa concerning the Afghan Taliban, and the national response to terrorism; in response, the DG ISPR outlined the role of political parties and the state’s position on combating terrorism. The DG ISPR stated that while people may hold differing views on how to confront and tackle terrorism—which is not an issue in itself—Pakistan remains the country most severely affected by it. He mentioned that the National Action Plan was formulated through consultations with all of Pakistan’s political parties, and the ‘Vision Azm-e-Istehkam’ (Resolve for Stability) emerged as a result of this process. He stated that if political leaders have prepared a consensus document, it must be implemented. The DG ISPR remarked that creating ambiguity regarding the state’s narrative on the response to terrorism—and failing to build the necessary capacity—reflects incompetence and a lack of understanding. He emphasized that when such questions arise, the state remains paramount; politics and democracy exist only if the state exists. The Army spokesperson noted that Pakistan is facing Indian-sponsored terrorism. Regarding the role of political parties, the DG ISPR observed that political parties form governments and engage in politics—that is their domain—whereas the Pakistan Army has no connection to politics; engaging with the provinces is the responsibility of the federal government. He reiterated that he would not respond to any matters concerning politics, adding that whatever is required for national security will be done, and there will be no compromise on the issue. He affirmed that Pakistan stands on the side of truth and is committed to the path of righteousness. Regarding the Makkah Defense Agreement, the DG ISPR stated that Pakistan is committed to its implementation and stands ready to defend the Holy Mosques and ensure the security of Saudi Arabia. He added, however, that details concerning the Makkah Defense Agreement cannot be discussed in the media.
