PESHAWAR,: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa minister for sports and tourism Mahmood Khan has assured that no player will be deprived of their valid rights in the province and every kind of energy is being used to promote the sports to its high peak in the war affected zone.

 

These views he expressed as chief guest in the 30th annual KPSWA awards distribution ceremony organized by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Writers Association (KPSWA) held at Peshawar Press Club. The minister added that it was the PTI government’s aim to pay full attention for arranging sports mega events across the province to save the young generation from wrong donning and other social evils.

 

The KP local government minister Inayat Ullah Khan, former provincial sports minister Syed Aqil Shah, Asian Sports Federation general secretary Amjad Aziz Malik and president KPSWA Jehanzeb Siddiq also address at this occasion.

 

Mahmood khan said that there were talented players in the province that need the supports for bringing them before the world, adding that the day was not far when the province players would be in the rank of top class players of the world.

 

Appreciating the KPSWA activities, he said such kind of programmers would encourage the players and create enthusiasm in them. He maintained that the players should concentrate on their games and make efforts for the wining.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Inayat Ullah Khan said that sport was the name of peace and through sports wickedness of the society could be uprooted. The local government minister said that players were the peaceful ambassador of a country and via games mutual relationship of various countries developed and strengthen.

 

He further said that sports writers could perfume their best role in the endorsement of sports because without the support of media nothing was possible in this fast technological era. Speaking on the occasion Asian Sports Federation general secretary Amjad Aziz Malik praised the efforts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Writers Association (KPSWA).

 

Aqil Shah delivering his speech to the participant said that due to terrorists’ activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which had badly affected sports activities and disturbed the routine life of common citizens. He added that it was need of hour to motivate the young generation towards the play grounds because through sports a healthy society could be bring into exit.

 

At the of the ceremony awards were distributed among the best of the players of the year for the year 2015. Gulnar Begam, director sports post graduate girls Degree College Mardan was awarded with lifetime achievement award while other best of players across KP were consist on Waqar Afridi in Taekwando, fastest bellower awards went to Muhammad Bilal Afridi, Sabiha Nisar was nominated for best cyclists. However, Hayat Ullah, Asfanyar, Qaiser Khan, Nimat Ullah, Ayesha Qamar, Majid Fasih, Sheema and Hamza were bestowed on awards in different games.

 

Earlier the provincial minister for sports, tourism and youth affairs Mahmood Khan took oath from the newly elected cabinet of the KPSWA.
