(…… اصغر علی مبارک…)…نیشنل پریس کلب اسلام آباد کے سالانہ انتخابات 25-2024ء میں حصہ لینے والے امیدواروں کی عبوری لسٹ این پی سی میں نوٹس بورڈ پر آویزاں کر دی گئی ہےصدارت اور سیکرٹریز کیلئے بارہ بارہ جبکہ فنانس سیکرٹری کیلئے نو امیدوار میدان میں ہیں،نائب صدرور کیلئے پانچ خواتین سمیت 26 امیدواروں جبکہ جوائنٹ سیکرٹریز کیلئے پانچ خواتین اور 22 مرد امیدواروں نے اپنے کاغذات نامزدگی جمع کرائے ہیں، گورننگ باڈی کیلئے 87 امیدوار زور آزمائی کرینگے، کاغذات نامزدگی پر اعتراضات 29 فروری کو وصول کئے جائیں,جبکہ اعتراضات پر سماعت یکم مارچ کو ہوگی جبکہ اسی دن امیدوار اپنے کاغذات واپس بھی لے سکتے ہیں،جس کے بعد امیدواروں کی حتمی فہرست اسی رات نوٹس آویزاں کر دی جائے گی ، پولنگ سات مارچ بروز جمعرات نیشنل پریس کلب اسلام آباد میں ہوگی,
مزید یہ کہ اس سے پہلے نیشنل پریس کلب کی سالانہ جنرل باڈی کااجلاس صدر نیشنل پریس کلب انور رضا کی زیر صدارت منعقد ہوا، صدر نے گذشتہ برس صحافیوں کی فلاح و بہبود کے حوالے سے کئے جانیوالے اقدامات سے متعلق تفصیل سے آگاہ کیا، سیکرٹری خلیل احمد راجہ نے کارکردگی رپورٹ جبکہ فنانس سیکرٹری نیئر علی نے مالیاتی رپورٹ پیش کی جسے ہاؤس نے کثرت رائے سے منظور کر لیا انتخابات کیلئے الیکشن کمیٹی کے قیام اور گورننگ باڈی کے فیصلوں کی توثیق کی گئی،تفصیلات کے مطابق نیشنل پریس کلب کی جنرل باڈی کااجلاس این پی سی میں منعقد ہوا، صدر انور رضا نے اجلاس کی صدارت کی، اجلاس تلاوت کلام پاک سےشروع ہوا ، اجلاس میں گذشتہ برس کے دوران انتقال کر جانیوالے ممبران کے ایصال ثواب کیلئے فاتحہ خوانی بھی کی گئی۔صدر انور رضا نے اجلاس سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے گذشتہ برس کی کامیابیوں ،کامرانیوں اور صحافیوں کی فلاح و بہبودکیلئے اقدامات سے آگاہ کرتے ہوئے بتایا کہ پنجاب حکومت نے میڈیا ٹاؤن فیز ٹو کے قیام کی اصولی منظوری دیدی ہے تاہم مناسب جگہ کیلئے حائل مشکلات دور کرنے کیلئے کوششیں جاری ہیں ، نیشنل پریس کلب انتظامیہ جرنلسٹ ہائوسنگ اسکیم فیز ون میں رہ جانیوالے ساتھیوں سے کیا ہوا چھت فراہم کرنےکا وعدہ پوراکرے گی۔الحمدللّٰہ ، اللہ تعالیٰ نے رواں برس ہمیں اس خواب میں حقیقت کے رنگ بھرنے کا موقع فراہم کیا ۔ فیز 2 کیلئے نیشنل پریس کلب کی باڈی نے دن رات کوششیں کیں اور اس وقت کے وزیر اعلیٰ پنجاب محس نقوی، صوبائی وزیر اطلاعات عامر میر سمیت پنجاب کی بیورو کریسی سے کئی ملاقاتیں کیںجن کے نتیجے میںپنجاب جرنلسٹ ہائوسنگ فائونڈیشن کے بورڈ آف ڈائریکٹرز کے اجلاس میں میڈیا ٹاؤن فیز 2 کی اُصولی منظوری حاصل کی گئی جبکہ فیز 2 کی اراضی کے تعین کیلئے مختلف جگہوں کا سروے ہوااور ضلعی انتظامیہ راولپنڈی سے ملکر اراضی کی تلاش شروع کر دی گئی اس دوران ہم نے بے پناہ مشکلات کے باوجود میڈیا ٹاؤن فیز ٹوکا ہدف حاصل کرنے کی جدوجہد جاری رکھی۔پریس کلب کی منتخب باڈی کی شبانہ روز کاوشوں اور آپ کی دعاؤں سے میڈیا ٹاؤن فیز ٹو منصوبہ اب تکمیل کے آخری مراحل میں ہے، انہوں نے بتایا کہ نیشنل پریس کلب اسلام آباد کے انتخابات 25-2024 کو صاف و شفاف اور پر امن بنانے کیلئے اپوزیشن کیساتھ طویل مشاورت کی گئی جس کے نتیجے میں اپوزیشن کے نمائندوں پر مشتمل نو رکنی الیکشن کمیٹی تشکیل دی گئی اورمتفقہ طور پر طے پایا کہ رمضان المبارک سے قبل سات مارچ کو انتخابات کرائے جائینگےجبکہ اپوزیشن کے مطالبے پر یہ بھی طے کیا گیا کہ ممبرشپ لسٹ میں کوئی نیا نام شامل نہیں کیا جائے گا حالانکہ آئین کے مطابق منتخب گورننگ باڈی کو نئی ممبرشپ کا اختیار حاصل ہے، انہوں نے بتایا کہ ممبران کی سکروٹنی کیلئے تمام میڈیا ہاؤسز کو خطوط لکھے گئے اور حقیقی عامل صحافیوں کی لسٹ ترتیب دی گئی ہے۔سیکرٹری خلیل احمد راجہ نے ترقیاتی کاموں کے حوالے سے اجلاس کو بتایا کہ پریس کلب کے موجودہ انفراسٹرکچر کو برقرار رکھنے اورزیر استعمال اراضی کو خوبصورت بنانے کیلئے متعدد اقدامات کئے، سیکیورٹی نظام کو مزید موثر بنانے کیلئے نئے استقبالیہ اور حفاظتی گیٹ کا قیام عمل میں لایا گیا۔اسلام آباد اور راولپنڈی کیمپ آفس میں ایک کروڑ روپے کی خطیر رقم سے سولر سسٹم کی تنصیب کا کام تکمیل کے مراحل میں ہے جس کے قیام کے بعد پریس کلب کو ماہانہ سات سے آٹھ لاکھ روپے کی بچت ہوگی،،ممبران کو ٹیکس فائلر بننے کی سہولت اور راہنمائی کیلئے FBRڈیسک کا قیام بھی عمل میں لایا گیا۔صحافیوں اور انکی فیملیز کیلئے مختلف میڈیکل لیبارٹریز کے تعاون سے میڈیکل کیمپس کا انعقاد بھی کیا گیا اورمفت ٹیسٹ اور ادویات فراہم کی گئیں،سیکرٹری فنانس نیئر علی نے مالیاتی رپورٹ پیش کرتے ہوئے اجلاس کو بتایا کہ پریس کلب ملازمت سے محروم صحافیوں کی خدمت کے ساتھ ساتھ ان کے بچوں کی سکول فیس اور غم و خوشی کی تقر یبات میں شمولیت کی گئی،کچن پیکج سکیم کے تحت سال24- 2023 کےدوران بے روزگار صحافیوں کو کچن کا سامان فراہم کیا گیا۔رمضان المبارک کے مقدس ماہ کے دوران اسلام آباد اور راولپنڈی کیمپ آفس میںافطار کا انتظام کیا گیا۔2023ء کے دوران مسیحی برادری کے لیے کرسمس کی تقریب منعقد کی گئی ۔ پریس کلب ممبران کورعائتی نرخوں پر کھانے کی فراہمی کا تسلسل جاری رکھا گیا،یوٹیلٹی بلز کی ادائیگی، پریس کلب کی موجودہ انتظامیہ نے تمام یوٹیلٹی بلز کی ادائیگی کو یقینی بنایا ، جن میں بجلی ، گیس ، ٹیلی فون بلز، انٹرنیٹ اور پریس کلب کی کیبل کے بلز شامل ہیں ، جنرل کونسل اجلاس میں معزز ممبر پروفیسر سعید احمد نے نیشنل پریس کلب کیخلاف سوشل میڈیا پر بےبنیاد اور جھوٹا پراپیگنڈہ کرنے والوں کی ممبر شپ منسوخ کرنے کی قرارداد پیش کی جسے ہاؤس نے متفقہ طور پر منظور کر لیا۔
اجلاس میں سینئر صحافیوں حاجی نواز رضا، مطیع اللہ جان، جاوید ملک، سعدیہ کمال، فیاض احمد، فرخ نواز بھٹی،سمیت متعدد ممبران نے سوالات کئے جن کے جواب دیئے گئے،ہاؤس نے متفقہ طور پر مالیاتی رپورٹ اور گورننگ باڈی کے فیصلوں کی منظوری بھی دی۔اجلاس میں صحافیوں کی کثیر تعداد نے شرکت کی۔

(……Asghar Ali Mubarak…)…The provisional list of candidates participating in the annual elections of National Press Club Islamabad 2024-25 has been displayed on the notice board in NPC, Presidency and Secretaries. While nine candidates are in the field for Finance Secretary, 26 candidates including five women for Vice President, while five women and 22 men for Joint Secretaries have submitted their nomination papers, 87 candidates will contest for the Governing Body. The objections should be received on February 29, while the hearing on the objections will be held on March 1. Candidates can also withdraw their papers on the same day, after which the final list of candidates will be displayed on the same night. Polling is on Thursday, March 7. National Press Club will be held in Islamabad.
Moreover, before this, the annual general body meeting of the National Press Club was held under the chairmanship of the President of the National Press Club, Anwar Raza. Ahmad Raja presented the performance report while Finance Secretary Nayar Ali presented the financial report which was approved by majority vote of the House. It was held at NPC, President Anwar Raza presided over the meeting, the meeting started with the recitation of Holy Quran, Fatiha was also recited in the meeting for the members who passed away during the last year. President Anwar Raza addressed the meeting. While informing about the achievements of last year, initiatives for the welfare of journalists and journalists, he said that the Punjab government has approved in principle the establishment of Media Town Phase Two, but efforts are on to remove the obstacles for a suitable place, National Press. The formal approval of Media Town Phase 2 was obtained, while a survey of various places was conducted to determine the land for Phase 2 and the search for land was started from the district administration Rawalpindi. With the day and night efforts of the elected body of the Press Club and your prayers, the Media Town Phase Two project is now in the final stages of completion. In order to make it transparent and peaceful, a long consultation was held with the opposition, as a result of which a nine-member election committee consisting of representatives of the opposition was formed and it was unanimously decided that the elections will be held on March 7 before Ramadan. It was decided that no new name would be added to the membership list even though as per the constitution the elected governing body has the power to make new memberships, he said. The list has been arranged. Secretary Khalil Ahmed Raja told the meeting regarding the development works that several measures were taken to maintain the existing infrastructure of the press club and beautify the land in use, new reception and security facilities to make the security system more effective. Christmas celebration was organized for the Christian community during 2023. Continuation of food supply to Press Club members at discounted rates Payment of Utility Bills The current management of the Press Club has ensured payment of all utility bills, including electricity, gas, telephone bills, internet and press club bills. Cable Bills included, In the General Council meeting, Honorable Member Professor Saeed Ahmed moved a resolution to cancel the membership of those who spread baseless and false propaganda on social media against the National Press Club, which was unanimously approved by the House.
In the meeting, several members, including senior journalists Haji Nawaz Raza, Matiullah Jan, Javed Malik, Sadia Kamal, Fayaz Ahmed, Farrukh Nawaz Bhatti, asked questions which were answered, the House unanimously approved the financial report and the decisions of the governing body. A large number of journalists participated in the meeting.
