Humaira Arshad gets six-year-old USA borne child Ali Mutaqeen custody

LAHORE – The Additional District & Session court’s Judge Mr.Ghulam Rasool Sial has granted the custody of six-year-old USA borne child Ali Mutaqeen Ahmed to famous singer Humaira Arshad in the child custody case here on Wednesday.
The Additional District & Session court’s Judge Mr.Ghulam Rasool Sial ordered to Ahmad Butt, former husband of Humaira, for handing over the son to mother.
The Additional District & Session court’s Judge Mr.Ghulam Rasool Sial on Friday reserved his verdict on singer Humaira Arshad’s petition seeking custody of her son.Judge Mr. Ghulam Abbas Sial passed the orders while allowing the plea, filed by Humaira Arshad for recovery of the minor. The judge directed police to produce the child in the court. Advocates Tahir Butt Asghar Ali Mubarak , Ch.Nazeer Ahmad, Miss. Uzma Mubarak ,Miss. Tahira Bano Mubarak Ahmad appeared before the court on behalf of singer Humaira Arshad.The court had reserved the verdict after hearing arguments of both the parties and announced it on Wednesday.
Earlier, Humaira’s counsels Asghar Ali Mubarak, Tahir Butt, Ch.Nazeer Ahmad, Miss. Uzma Mubarak ,Miss. Tahira Bano Mubarak pleaded with the court to recover the minor son of the petitioner from his father’s custody and hand him over to the petitioner.They said that Ahmad Butt misled the guardian court and got orders for custody of the boy whereas he was not eligible to approach the guardian court under the law.However, Ahmad Butt’s counsel argued that the court could not pass any further order in the presence of the guardian court orders. Earlier, Humera had submitted to the court that her former husband had forcefully snatched her son Ali and had kept him in his illegal possession. She said that Butt is a drug addict therefore it is not in favor of her child welfare to stay with father hence the child should be given in her custody. The court ordered the singer and her former husband, Ahmad Butt, to approach the guardian court for permanent custody of their son.
