ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan paid a visit to the house of former chairman Senate Mian Muhammad Somroo and condoled with the bereaved family, over death of Malik Fahd.Nisar also held out assurance to provide justice to the family members of late Malik Fahd. All the ends of justice would be met in this case, he added. It is worth mentioning here that Malik Fahad nephew of Mian Muhammad was shot dead by some unidentified persons, couple of days ago in Islamabad.‘’You might have heard by now that Former Senate Chairman Mohammad Mian Soomro’s nephew was killed in a gun fight in Islamabad on last Monday.
However, it might not have come to your knowledge that the fight started over a comment posted on Face book.The two individuals involved in the fight were Raja Asad (Raja Arshad group) and Hussain Malik (Tariq Malik group).Police officials have reported that the tussle started when one of the involved guys made an offensive comment about a girl on Face book. That girl happened to be a friend of the other guy who jumped to defend her by calling for a physical fight. Both of the men took it out in a clash, along with their friends, at a Coffee Shop in F-10/3.
The fight started over a Facebook Comment
Police was quick to take action and stopped the fight. Soomro’s Nephew, Malik Fahad, was acting as a mediator between the two groups and successfully resolved the matter at the police station. Both groups agreed to stop fighting.
However, as soon as they left the police station, the fight started again when Raja Arshad group started firing at Fahad Malik’s car. Fahad Malik succumbed to the injuries immediately while his fellow, Tariq Malik was seriously injured. Both received multiple gunshot wounds but Tariq Malik survived the incident. The accused fled the scene are yet to be located and arrested.
Police investigation has revealed that the incident could have been avoided had the police officers at the station searched the cars of both parties for any weapons. Police sources suggest that Islamabad’s Safe City project will come into play as the team behind it has been tasked to identify and trace the car. That information will be used to arrest the alleged murder criminals.
According to police sources, Raja Arshad group has the support of a strong political family. So far, the police have not even filed an FIR and are awaiting a written application from the victims.
This case will reveal the usefulness of the Safe City Project and the cybercrime laws will kick in for the authorities to get additional details regarding the cause of this incident.Earlier the Islamabad Police on last Monday night registered a case relating to the murder of Barrister Fahad Malik, nephew of ex-chairman Senate Muhammad Mian Soomro, against five suspects.Barrister Fahad Malik killed in an armed clash between two groups late on last Sunday night. The firing incident took place in Islamabad’s sector F-11 at a coffee shop where, according to police, Raja Arshad and Malik Tariq’s group exchanged fire.The clash killed Fahad and left three injured, when the other party opened fire at their vehicle. One of the injured was shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in critical state.Another clash occurred within the hospital premises before police arrived at the spot.Shalimar police, however, later registered the first information report (FIR) of Barrister Fahad’s murder with Malik Tariq, who also got wounded yesterday, as the complainant.
Police nominated Raja Arshad and Nauman Khokhar in the FIR along with three others.
Officials are yet to ascertain the reason behind the armed clash; however, the incident prompted suspension of SHO Shalimar.
The initial postmortem report suggested that Fahad was hit by four bullets, said sources. The bullet hitting Fahad on his right cheek turned out to be fatal.
Bullets hit his neck and back, they added.
According to police, Barrister Fahad had mediated a written truce between Malik Tariq and the other group; however, after an altercation Raja Arshad had opened fire on his vehicle.
Police say that they are carrying out raids for Arshad’s arrest.
Slain Fahad was also brother-in-law of UK-based businessman Zulfi Bukhari. According to the Police, Former Senate chairman Mohammad Mian Soomro’s nephew was killed as a result of a Facebook quarrel over a girl.
The reports suggest the fight escalated when allegedly girls were involved in the fight and were targeted.
The exchange of fire occurred between the two groups led by Raja Asad and Hussain Malik, as a result of which ex-chairman Senate Mohamamd Mian Soomro’s nephew Barrister Fahad Malik lost his life.The clash broke out in the early hours of Monday in Islamabad’s F10-3 area. First bullet crossed from his right cheeks which caused his death.While second bullet crossed from his nose and third bullet crossed from his waist which exit point was from waist’s front side. Fourth bullet crossed his neck.Fahad Malik was to leave for Germany on Monday’s evening.It is pertinent to mention here that Fahad Malik was killed due to business rivalry. Police have extended its investigation scope after being received postmortem report of Malik Fahad.Federal Police have reached slain Fahad’s house for taking further details into the case. Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP) Ghulam Muhammad Bakar is leading three members committee which has been constituted by the authority into the case.
