Brett Philosophical Society Government College University’s annual event

Government College University Lahore (GCU) organized the annual alumni event, dinner and conference organized by Brett Philosophical Society and Department of Philosophy and Liberal Arts at Bukhari Auditorium and Bukhari Lawn. Eminent students, teachers, alumni and distinguished guests attended. Before the official start of the ceremony Ms. Mehek Maqbool, Advisor of Brett Philosophical Society welcomed all the distinguished guests. Sufi Kalam was presented by Rabin Ahmad, while Allama Iqbal’s Kalam expressing the philosophy of self was presented by Iqbal Mubashir Hasan. His powerful voice and moving poetry warmed the hearts of the audience. Joyria’s beautiful singing mesmerized the audience with the magic of music. The next part of the event was a short play in which the students showcased their talents. In this play, Talha Tajuddin plays the role of Immanuel Kant, Bishar Salim plays the role of Machiavelli and Jawad Dawood Pota plays the role of Franz Kafka. In this part of the program, alumni shared their experiences and thoughts. Agha Iqar Haroon, in his speech, appreciated the head of the department, Dr. Subia Tahir, for organizing the wonderful event and keeping alive the tradition of the annual dinner of the department. He said that the last dinner was also held under the chairmanship of Dr. Subia. Prof. Dr. Javed Iqbal Nadeem explained his thoughts and educational journey in a very impressive manner. In the last part of the ceremony, Dr. Subia Tahir, Head of the Department of Philosophy, came on stage and distributed certificates and souvenirs among the students and former students. On this occasion, Dr. Subia Tahir, Head of the Department of Philosophy, appreciated the tireless efforts of the advisor of Brit Philosophical Society and presented him with a souvenir. President of Brett Philosophical Society Muhammad Amir Hamza delivered the closing remarks and thanked all the participants. The event concluded with a memorable dinner and interactive discussion, where participants reminisced and exchanged new ideas. The Brett Philosophical Society appreciates the hard work of all the organizers in making this beautiful evening a success. Muhammad Ansar Mehdi and Muhadda Batul performed the duties of hosting the event very well.
بریٹ فلاسوفیکل سوسائٹی گورنمنٹ کالج یونیورسٹی کی سالانہ تقریب تقریب کاا نعقاد

گورنمنٹ کالج یونیورسٹی لاہور (جی سی یو) میں بریٹ فلسفیکل سوسائٹی اور ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف فلسفہ اینڈ لبرل آرٹس کے زیر اہتمام سالانہ سابق طلباء کی تقریب، ڈنر اور کنفرمنٹ کی تقریب بخاری آڈیٹوریم اور بخاری لان میں منعقد ہوئی۔اس پر وقار اور یادگار تقریب میں ممتاز طلباء، اساتذہ، سابق طلباء اور معزز مہمانوں نے شرکت کی۔ تقریب کے باقاعدہ آغاز سے قبل بریٹ فلاسوفیکل سوسائٹی کی ایڈوائزر محترمہ مہک مقبول نے تمام معزز مہمانوں کو خوش آمدید کہا تقریب کا باقاعدہ آغاز تلاوت کلام پاک سے ہوا، تلاوت کے بعد شہباز صادق نے نعت رسول مقبولؐ پیش کی۔ صوفی کلام رابن احمد نے پیش کیا جبکہ علامہ اقبال کے فلسفہ خودی کا اظہار کرنے والا کلام اقبال مبشر حسن نے پیش کیا۔ ان کی پراثر آواز اور چلتی پھرتی شاعری نے سامعین کے دلوں کو گرمایا۔ جویریہ کی خوبصورت آواز میں گانے نے موسیقی کے جادو سے محفل کو مسحور کر دیا۔ تقریب کا اگلا حصہ ایک مختصر ڈرامہ تھا جس میں طلباء نے اپنی صلاحیتوں کا مظاہرہ کیا۔ اس ڈرامے میں طلحہ تاج الدین نے عمانویل کانٹ، بشر سلیم نے میکیاویلی اور جواد داؤد پوٹا نے فرانز کافکا کا کردار ادا کیا ہے۔ پروگرام کے اس حصے میں سابق طلباء نے اپنے تجربات اور خیالات کا اظہار کیا۔ آغا اقرار ہارون نے اپنی تقریر میں شعبہ کی سربراہ ڈاکٹر صوبیہ طاہر کی شاندار تقریب کے انعقاد اور شعبہ کے سالانہ عشائیہ کی روایت کو زندہ رکھنے پر سراہا۔ انہوں نے بتایا کہ آخری عشائیہ بھی ڈاکٹر صوبیہ کی سربراہی میں منعقد ہوا تھا پروفیسر ڈاکٹر جاوید اقبال ندیم نے اپنے افکار اور تعلیمی سفر کو بڑے متاثر کن انداز میں بیان کیا۔ تقریب کے آخری حصے میں شعبہ فلسفہ کی سربراہ ڈاکٹر ثوبیہ طاہر نے اسٹیج پر آکر طلباء اور سابق طلباء میں اسناد اور سووینئر تقسیم کئے۔ نمایاں طلباء کے نام درج ذیل ہیں: صدر: حافظ محمد امیر حمزہ، سینئر نائب صدر: محمد طلحہ تاج الدین، نائب صدر: سیدہ شاجیہ فاطمہ، جواد علی، جنرل سیکرٹری: محمد عبداللہ رحیم، جوائنٹ سیکرٹری: مبشر حسن، فنانس سیکرٹری محمد عامر، ایونٹ منیجرز: سید زریاب حیدر، عثمان سندھو، نبیل امتیاز، میڈیا اور گرافکس سیکرٹری: روبن احمد، مواد تخلیق کار: محمد احسن علی خان، ویڈیو ایڈیٹر: شمشیر علی خان، فوٹوگرافر: مناہل۔ اس موقع پر شعبہ فلسفہ کی سربراہ ڈاکٹر ثوبیہ طاہر نے بریٹ فلاسوفیکل سوسائٹی کے ایڈوائزر کی انتھک کاوشوں کو سراہتے ہوئے انہیں سووینئر پیش کیا۔ بریٹ فلاسوفیکل سوسائٹی کے صدر محمد امیر حمزہ نے اختتامی کلمات پیش کیے اور تمام شرکاء کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ تقریب کا اختتام ایک یادگار ڈنر اور انٹرایکٹو ڈسکشن کے ساتھ ہوا، جہاں شرکاء نے یاد تازہ کی اور نئے خیالات کا تبادلہ کیا۔ بریٹ فلاسوفیکل سوسائٹی نے اس خوبصورت شام کو کامیاب بنانے میں تمام منتظمین کی محنت کو سراہا۔ تقریب کی میزبانی کے فرائض محمد انصر مہدی اور محدثہ بتول نے نہایت احسن طریقے سے انجام دیئے۔
