Amir Khan announces international boxing event “Azadi Fight Night” on September 5, 2026

British and Pakistani boxer Amir Khan held an important press conference at the Amir Khan Boxing Academy located in the Islamabad Sports Complex. In this press conference, he formally announced the international boxing event “Azadi Fight Night” to be held on September 5, 2026. Amir Khan said that the main objective of this event is to provide an international platform to Pakistan’s local boxers so that they can make the country famous all over the world. Along with this event, the newly constructed modern Amir Khan Boxing Academy will also be formally inaugurated at the Jinnah Stadium, the ribbon cutting ceremony of which will be held before the fights start.
This event will start on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 6:00 PM. Amir Khan made a big announcement to the public that entry to the stadium will be completely free and fans will not need to buy any tickets.
Those who cannot come to the stadium will be able to watch the entire event live worldwide on Geo Super. There will be a total of 10 professional bouts in this fight night, in which the best talent from across the country, including Pakistan’s renowned boxer Usman Wazir, will be seen in action. Apart from Pakistan, Haris Aftab Khan from Denmark and two international professional boxers from England have also arrived in Pakistan to participate in these bouts. All the boxers were present on stage during the press conference. Talking about the corporate sector, Aamir Khan said that the doors of sponsorship are open for local companies, and the proceeds from this event will be spent on the promotion of youth sports and welfare works in Pakistan.
