NAIROBI: In a significant development under the Government of Pakistan’s proactive “Look Africa” trade policy, the High Commission of Pakistan has officially inaugurated the Pakistan Pavilion at the World Health Expo (WHX) Nairobi 2026. The mega-event is running from 16th to 18th September 2026 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC). This critical commercial initiative aims to dramatically scale up the footprint of Pakistan’s pharmaceutical and surgical sectors across East African consumer markets.

The Trade Wing of the High Commission, functioning in close coordination with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), has strategically facilitated the on-ground participation of nine leading Pakistani health and life sciences enterprises. These corporate delegations are exhibiting highly specialized local capabilities across distinct therapeutic and manufacturing divisions:

Facilitating Regulatory Pathways and B2B Networking

Moving beyond standard display booths, the diplomatic mission is providing specialized institutional facilitation to help transition immediate interest into long-term commercial contracts. The High Commission is aggressively hosting dedicated Business-to-Business (B2B) networking sessions connecting Pakistani corporate executives with prominent African distributors, health facility procurement heads, and regional investors.

Crucially, to ensure sustainable open-market access within East Africa, the Mission is guiding and hand-holding the participating companies through the rigorous pre-qualification and registration process with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya (PPB). Obtaining this primary regulatory clearance is mandatory to legally distribute and supply medical goods locally, turning this expo into an actionable launchpad rather than a brief PR exercise.
