Islamabad …The 12th Chief of the Naval Staff International Squash Championship, 2016 begin at Mushaf Squash Complex, Islamabad, top ranking Pakistan, Australia, Egypt, Jamaica, Jordon, Malaysia, Netherland, Newzealand, Wales and USA professional players are participating in mega event.Pakistan Squash Federation in collaboration with Pakistan Navy is organizing 12th Chief of the Naval Staff International Squash Championship with a prize purse of US$ 25,000/- at Mushaf Squash Complex, Islamabad
The 1st qualifying round of the tournament started on (17 October, 2016) with a draw of 16 players.  Results of matches are as under:-

Youssef Soliman (EGY)        Beat    Amaad Fareed (PAK)                12/10, 11/5, 11/5 (41 Min) the 2nd qualifying round would be played on 18 October, 2016.Mean while Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) secretary Group Captain Aamir Nawaz said that the federation had revived the COAS Championship after a gap of almost one decade, as the last COAS championship was held in 2007, when international players had no fear of security. PSA have full believed in the PSF efforts and the players feels quite comfortable to travel to Pakistan. “We are in constant touch with PSA and World Squash Federation (WSF).We has to conduct four PSA $25,000 tournaments starting from September to December. We have registered three tournaments COAS, Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) and Chief of Air Staff (CAS). We have requested the Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) Ministry to take the fourth event in December. The negotiations are going well with the IPC as we had written letter to them in this regard.
Hopefully, they will own the event. We will register the 4th $25,000 PSA event with either President or Prime Minister Gold Cup.He said that Pakistani players Farhan Zaman, Farhan Mehboob, Tayyab Aslam, Israr Ahmed and Asim Khan are our main hopes.
