Pakistan captain Sahibzada Farhan has broken the record held by Indian opener Abhishek Sharma. By scoring 238 runs in the three-match T20 series against Sri Lanka, Farhan became the highest run-scorer in a bilateral three-match T20 series between Full Member nations; his record-breaking performance also earned him the Player of the Series award.
In the T20 series played in Rawalpindi, Sahibzada Farhan scored half-centuries in all three matches. He amassed a total of 238 runs at an average of 79.33 and a strike rate of 165.27. Previously, the record was held by Indian opener Abhishek Sharma, who scored 229 runs in a three-match home series against Afghanistan earlier this year, maintaining an average of 76.33 and recording one century and one half-century.
Sahibzada Farhan has now moved to the top of the list of highest run-scorers in bilateral three-match T20 series between Full Member nations with his tally of 238 runs. Abhishek Sharma sits in second place with 229 runs, followed by New Zealand’s Colin Munro in third with 223 runs, and Australia’s David Warner in fourth with 217 runs.
Sahibzada Farhan also got off to a magnificent start in the series against Sri Lanka. In the first T20 match, he played a match-winning innings of 89 runs off 53 balls, featuring 10 fours and 4 sixes. Thanks to his superb batting, Pakistan successfully chased down the target of 183 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.
Sahibzada Farhan maintained his excellent form in the second match as well, scoring 73 runs off just 44 balls. His innings helped Pakistan post a total of 215 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. In reply, the Sri Lankan team could only manage 133 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. With this victory, Pakistan clinched the three-match series.
In the third and final T20 match, Sahibzada Farhan scored 76 runs off 47 balls and played a pivotal role in helping Pakistan reach a total of 168 runs; however, Sri Lanka successfully chased down the target for the loss of 2 wickets, winning the match by 8 wickets.
Despite the defeat in the final match, Pakistan won the series 2-1, while Sahibzada Farhan was named Player of the Series for scoring half-centuries in all three matches and accumulating a total of 238 runs.

آخری میچ میں شکست کے باوجود پاکستان نے سیریز 1-2 سے جیت لی جب کہ صاحبزادہ فرحان تینوں میچوں میں نصف سنچریاں اور مجموعی طور پر 238 رنز بنانے پر سیریز کے بہترین کھلاڑی قرار پائے۔
