Quetta: An emergency meeting of the Balochistan Sports Journalists Association was held in Quetta, in which a large number of members, including the office bearers of the association, attended. The meeting discussed in detail the current situation of sports in Balochistan, the problems faced by the players, the unavailability of sports facilities and the working methods of the sports department. The participants of the meeting expressed concern and said that the years 2025 and 2026 are proving to be the years of decline of sports in Balochistan. Despite the release of crores of rupees of funds in the name of sports, the players present in the grounds are deprived of basic facilities, sports equipment, proper maintenance of the grounds and other necessary resources. The participants said that if the funds allocated for sports are really being spent on the development of players and sports, then its effects should be clearly visible in the grounds. Unfortunately, many players and sports associations are still facing difficulties in obtaining basic facilities.
The meeting also expressed serious concerns that the Sports Department is allegedly giving preference to some players and associations on the basis of likes and dislikes and good list, while other players and associations are being ignored. The participants said that no player should be discriminated against on the basis of his affiliation, relationship or likes and dislikes.
The Balochistan Sports Journalists Association clarified that sports journalists will not be limited to reporting only on competitions but will also become the voice of the legitimate rights and problems of the players. The problems of the players and associations who are being ignored will be highlighted and their voice will be conveyed to the relevant authorities.
The meeting demanded that the Sports Department of Balochistan ensure transparency in the use of sports funds, provide equal opportunities to all players and registered associations, make the grounds fit for sports and provide necessary sports equipment and other facilities to the deserving players.
The participants said that the alleged system of “good list and best” is not acceptable in any way, merit, transparency and equality should be made the basic principles in sports. Players who want to move forward based on their hard work and ability should not need any recommendation or personal likes and dislikes.
The meeting resolved to raise voice for the legitimate rights of all sports, players and associations of Balochistan, highlight sports issues through the media and demand effective measures from the relevant authorities.
Finally, the office bearers and all members of the Balochistan Sports Journalists Association expressed their determination that their voice will be raised against injustice, discrimination and neglect of players in sports and every possible role will be played for the bright future of the young players of Balochistan. The meeting concluded with this determination and consensus.
کوئٹہ: بلوچستان سپورٹس جرنلسٹ ایسوسی ایشن کا ایک ہنگامی اجلاس کوئٹہ میں منعقد ہوا، جس میں ایسوسی ایشن کے عہدیداران سمیت ممبران نے کثیر تعداد میں شرکت کی۔ اجلاس میں بلوچستان میں کھیلوں کی موجودہ صورتحال، کھلاڑیوں کو درپیش مسائل، کھیلوں کی سہولیات کی عدم دستیابی اور محکمہ کھیل کے طریقۂ کار پر تفصیلی غور کیا گیا۔ اجلاس کے شرکاء نے تشویش کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ سال 2025 اور 2026 بلوچستان میں کھیلوں کے زوال کے سال ثابت ہو رہے ہیں۔ کھیلوں کے نام پر کروڑوں روپے کے فنڈز جاری ہونے کے باوجود گراؤنڈز میں موجود کھلاڑی بنیادی سہولیات، کھیلوں کا سامان، گراؤنڈز کی مناسب دیکھ بھال اور دیگر ضروری وسائل سے محروم ہیں۔ شرکاء کا کہنا تھا کہ اگر کھیلوں کے لیے مختص فنڈز واقعی کھلاڑیوں اور کھیلوں کی ترقی پر خرچ کیے جا رہے ہیں تو اس کے اثرات گراؤنڈز میں واضح نظر آنے چاہئیں۔ بدقسمتی سے متعدد کھلاڑی اور کھیلوں کی ایسوسی ایشنز آج بھی بنیادی سہولیات کے حصول کے لیے مشکلات کا سامنا کر رہی ہیں۔
اجلاس میں اس بات پر بھی شدید تحفظات کا اظہار کیا گیا کہ محکمہ کھیل میں مبینہ طور پر پسند و ناپسند اور گڈ لسٹ کی بنیاد پر بعض کھلاڑیوں اور ایسوسی ایشنز کو ترجیح دی جا رہی ہے، جبکہ دیگر کھلاڑیوں اور ایسوسی ایشنز کو نظرانداز کیا جا رہا ہے۔ شرکاء نے کہا کہ کسی بھی کھلاڑی کے ساتھ اس کی وابستگی، تعلقات یا پسند و ناپسند کی بنیاد پر امتیازی سلوک نہیں ہونا چاہیے۔
بلوچستان سپورٹس جرنلسٹ ایسوسی ایشن نے واضح کیا کہ کھیلوں کے صحافی صرف مقابلوں کی رپورٹنگ تک محدود نہیں رہیں گے بلکہ کھلاڑیوں کے جائز حقوق اور مسائل کی آواز بھی بنیں گے۔ جو کھلاڑی اور ایسوسی ایشنز نظرانداز ہو رہے ہیں، ان کے مسائل کو اجاگر کیا جائے گا اور متعلقہ حکام تک ان کی آواز پہنچائی جائے گی۔
اجلاس میں مطالبہ کیا گیا کہ محکمہ کھیل بلوچستان کھیلوں کے فنڈز کے استعمال میں شفافیت یقینی بنائے، تمام کھلاڑیوں اور رجسٹرڈ ایسوسی ایشنز کو مساوی مواقع فراہم کیے جائیں، گراؤنڈز کو کھیلوں کے قابل بنایا جائے اور مستحق کھلاڑیوں کو کھیلوں کا ضروری سامان اور دیگر سہولیات فراہم کی جائیں۔
شرکاء نے کہا کہ “گڈ لسٹ اور بیسٹ” کا مبینہ نظام کسی صورت قابل قبول نہیں، کھیلوں میں میرٹ، شفافیت اور برابری کو بنیادی اصول بنایا جائے۔ جو کھلاڑی اپنی محنت اور صلاحیت کی بنیاد پر آگے بڑھنا چاہتے ہیں، انہیں کسی سفارش یا ذاتی پسند و ناپسند کا محتاج نہیں ہونا چاہیے۔
اجلاس میں بلوچستان کے تمام کھیلوں، کھلاڑیوں اور ایسوسی ایشنز کے جائز حقوق کے لیے آواز بلند کرنے، کھیلوں کے مسائل کو میڈیا کے ذریعے اجاگر کرنے اور متعلقہ حکام سے مؤثر اقدامات کا مطالبہ کرنے کا عزم کیا گیا۔
آخر میں بلوچستان سپورٹس جرنلسٹ ایسوسی ایشن کے عہدیداران اور تمام ممبران نے اس عزم کا اظہار کیا کہ کھیلوں میں ناانصافی، امتیازی سلوک اور کھلاڑیوں کو نظرانداز کرنے کے خلاف آواز بلند کی جائے گی اور بلوچستان کے نوجوان کھلاڑیوں کے روشن مستقبل کے لیے ہر ممکن کردار ادا کیا جائے گا۔ اجلاس اسی عزم اور اتفاقِ رائے کے ساتھ اختتام پذیر ہوا۔
